Once again Tendring District Council have decided that the car park at Harwich & Parkeston Football Club is underused and have put the site up for sale for more housing; this could be for 36 to 48 dwellings or a high density scheme of flats. This car park is crucial to the football club's future and is far from under used! The club have a senior side, two Sunday teams, six Harwich Boot camp sessions a week, youth football and charity car boot sales in Summer and a busy bar and function hall; without the car park facility the club could close as there is nowhere else for patrons to park.
The club urge everyone to sign the petition and to preserve the football club for a further 140 years and more!
