Having been issued with a formal warning by the Essex FA, the club would like to stress its commitment to the FA’s Respect programme and remind all involved of the importance of good discipline.
This season the FA has introduced a penalty-points system for dissent and poor behaviour in a bid to eradicate such issues from the game.
However, seven such incidents at first-team level have led to the warning and if further penalty points are accumulated, a fine and even the potential removal of accreditation and affiliation could follow. The latter would have a knock-on effect to other teams within the club.
The Essex FA’s
Matchday Environment page has details of what is and isn’t expected, while
behaviour improvement resources are available on the England Football website.
